Playa De La Luz Hotel - Rota

Location. The beachfront Playa de la Luz Hotel is located in Rota, Spain, in the Bay of Cadiz, within two kilometres of Castillo de Luna (moon castle) and the Torre de la Merced tower.
Hotel Features. Set between two pine forests and natural sand dunes, the two storey Playa de la Luz Hotel is built in typical Andalusian style, with whitewashed walls. There is an outdoor pool with children's area, sun beds and a pool bar serving snacks and drinks.

Las Dunas restaurant serves buffet style dishes for breakfast (complimentary) and dinner. Atlantico Restaurant serves international a la carte dishes between July and October. La Gaviota restaurant overlooks the beach and the Bay of Cadiz and serves Andalusian dishes and fresh seafood.

Six meeting rooms are available for business guests at Playa de la Luz Hotel. There is a dedicated business centre and high speed Internet connections in public areas (surcharge).

The hotel offers a kids' club from mid July to mid September. There is a separate swimming pool and a playground for children. Playa de la Luz Hotel also has tennis courts, paddle tennis, ping pong, beach volleyball, and a fully equipped gym.

Expert Tip. Castillo de Luna, the moon castle, was once used by the family of Ponce de Leon. The ground floor is open to the public for free. The second floor is used as the town hall and closed to the public. It has an interior courtyard with a fountain and evidence of earlier frescoes on the walls.
